An AI-powered CCRN tutor that learns where you're weak.
Adaptive practice using spaced repetition and the Pomodoro method. Ships December 31, 2026. Pass the CCRN or your money back.
A patient in the ICU has these values. Which type of shock do they most likely indicate?
- BP84/52
- HR118
- CVP14 mmHg
- PAOP24 mmHg
- CI1.7 L/min/m²
- SVR1,850 dyn·s/cm⁵
Cardiogenic shock. The heart is failing as a pump, so blood backs up and filling pressures rise (CVP 14, PAOP 24) while output falls (CI 1.7). The body clamps down to hold pressure, which is the high SVR.
In the app, this goes on your map and comes back at longer intervals each time you get it right.
Same patient. Which single value most clearly separates cardiogenic from hypovolemic shock here?
- BP84/52
- HR118
- CVP14 mmHg
- PAOP24 mmHg
- CI1.7 L/min/m²
- SVR1,850 dyn·s/cm⁵
PAOP. Heart rate, SVR and blood pressure look the same in both: fast, high, and low. Filling pressure is the difference. A high PAOP points to a left heart that is full and failing to empty. A low PAOP points to a tank that was never full.

A patient with ARDS is on volume-control ventilation. Which tidal volume is the standard starting target for lung-protective ventilation?
Lung-protective ventilation in ARDS starts at about 6 mL/kg of predicted body weight, within a 4 to 8 mL/kg range, with plateau pressure kept under 30 cm H₂O. Predicted body weight comes from height and sex, because lung size does not grow with body fat.

A patient admitted with diabetic ketoacidosis has a glucose of 480 mg/dL and a potassium of 3.0 mEq/L. What is the priority before starting the insulin infusion?
Insulin drives potassium into cells, so starting it with a potassium of 3.0 can drop the level into a dangerous range and cause arrhythmias. Replace potassium first and start insulin once it is above 3.5 mEq/L, per the 2024 ADA consensus on hyperglycemic crises.

A patient with a traumatic brain injury develops hypertension with a widening pulse pressure, bradycardia and irregular respirations. What do these findings indicate?
Hypertension with a widening pulse pressure, bradycardia and irregular breathing is Cushing's triad, a late sign of rising intracranial pressure as the brainstem is compressed. It calls for immediate action, not observation.

That's the sample.
In the app, practice keeps going. Missed questions come back in later sessions, and the next session is built around the weakest row below.
Built on how people learn
Spaced repetition
A question you miss comes back at longer intervals each time you get it right, until you get it right without thinking. One you know stays out of your way.
The Pomodoro method
Twenty-five minutes on one system, then a five-minute break, then again. The tutor runs the clock so you don't have to, and a session fits between things on a shift.
A weak-spot map
After each session you see your percentage right in each blueprint area, and the next session is built around the weakest.
Questions in the exam's style
A bank of 600 questions written to the Adult CCRN blueprint in the style the exam uses. Drafted with AI, and every one checked by a CCRN-certified nurse against current guidelines before it ships. Follow-ups are generated live and labeled as such.
Ask the tutor
When a rationale doesn't land, ask under the question. The tutor explains it another way, grounded in that question's rationale, as many times as you need.
A full-length exam
150 questions, three hours on the clock, weighted like the real blueprint, scored at the end. Its questions never appear in practice, so nothing on it is familiar.
How a session goes
- 1
Tell it your exam date
It builds a plan across the CCRN blueprint that fits the days you have, and reshapes it as you go.
- 2
Answer in short, timed sessions
One Pomodoro at a time: twenty-five minutes on one system, then a break. Every question has a rationale that explains the right answer and why each wrong one is wrong.
- 3
It maps your weak spots and brings them back
Every miss goes on a map of the blueprint. The tutor picks the next questions from your weakest areas, writes follow-ups around what you missed, and brings the misses back until you get them right.

Built for the gaps in a shift week
Sessions are short on purpose. Ten questions in the break room count, and the tutor picks up where you left off, on your phone or a laptop. The plan adjusts to the days you actually study, so the schedule moves when your shifts do.
What a rented question bank can't do
| Situation | A question bank | Preceptor |
|---|---|---|
| You miss a question | Read the explanation, move on to whatever is next in the list. | The tutor writes the next question about the gap you just showed. |
| A week later | It's in a "review incorrect" list or a weak-subject quiz you have to remember to open. | It comes back on its own, spaced out, until you get it right. |
| You still don't get it | Reread the same rationale. | Ask the tutor and get it explained a different way. |
| Your study plan | You make it, and remake it after every stretch of nights. | It builds the plan from your exam date and reshapes it as you go. |
| Access | Rented for 30 to 180 days, then you pay again. | One payment, a full year, and a refund if you don't pass. |

Who's building it
Owen Kurth, RN, BSN, CCRN
ICU nurse in Bellingham, Washington
The question banks I've studied from gave me a thousand questions and one explanation each. Miss one, reread the rationale, move on, and the next question is about something else. What I wanted was a tutor that noticed the miss, explained it the way a good preceptor does on a shift, and brought it back until it stuck.
I build software on the side. I hold the CCRN myself. I write the question bank with the model and check every question in it against current guidelines before it ships. The follow-ups the tutor writes while you study are generated live and labeled as such, and every rationale has a flag button for reporting errors. I read every report, and I answer the email myself. Questions
When does it ship?
By December 31, 2026. If it isn't ready by then, I refund every pre-order in full, and you'll hear it from me before the date, not after. If fewer than a handful of people pre-order, I'll refund everyone and say so.
What if I change my mind?
Reply to your order receipt and I'll refund you. Before it ships, any time. After it ships, within 30 days of getting it.
What if I don't pass?
Take the Adult CCRN within your year of access. If you don't pass, reply to your receipt with the score report and I refund you in full. No conditions about how much you studied. I'd rather refund a few people than argue with anyone.
How long do I have access?
One year from the day it ships, or from the day you buy if that's later. Long enough for a postponed exam date, and the refund promise runs the whole year.
Does it replace a review course?
It replaces a question bank. If a lecture-style review is how you learn, keep it, and use this for the practice.
How does the AI part work?
It tracks every answer, builds a map of the blueprint areas you miss, schedules those to come back using an open spaced-repetition scheduler, and drafts new questions around them. Under any question you can ask it to explain the answer another way. Every rationale has a button to flag it if something is off, and I read every flag.
Are these real past CCRN questions?
No. AACN doesn't publish its exam questions. These are written to the current Adult CCRN blueprint, in the exam's style. The bank is drafted with AI and each question is checked by a nurse before it ships. Follow-ups generated during a session are labeled as generated.
What happens to my answers?
They're stored so the tutor can plan your next session. They're not sold and not used to train models. The tutor only needs the question in front of you, so please don't type patient details into it.
What about the PCCN?
Not at launch. The Adult CCRN comes first. If enough people ask, the PCCN is next.
Is this affiliated with AACN?
No. CCRN is a registered trademark of AACN Certification Corp. This is an independent study tool and AACN has not reviewed or endorsed it.
